Celebrate the Transformative Power of Art
The Art Experience is celebrating the creative process to help support the programs at our community art and art therapy studio where we believe art is for everyone and everyone is an artist.
Artists of different skill levels, different abilities, and who were used to working in different mediums were paired in a speed dating type format in April, and over the summer, collaborated on a work to be auctioned off at the Glimmer.
The creative process and the resulting art pieces are metaphors for life - no one is an island. When we work together, communicate through conflict, the end result is made more beautiful because of the compromise and resolution.
Those are the glimmers. Those things that bring joy, put a smile on your face, and warm your heart. They calm your nervous system and get you out of that fight or flight mode. Glimmers are the opposite of triggers.
